Meeting as graduate students in the School for Visual Arts’ Social Documentary program, cinematographer and director Amitabh Joshi and producer Erik Spink founded Vacant Light, a media production company dedicated to non-fiction and commercial storytelling. Their work has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures, The Ford Foundation, The Center for Public Broadcast, Center for Asian American Media, and film festivals internationally.
