Alina Rancier Director, Producer, & Editor

Hailing from the Dominican Republic, multi-hyphenated NYC-based Alina Rancier is a director, producer, writer, editor, motion designer, and actor. She is the owner of Amala Studio, an NYC-based video content studio.

For over 18 years she has collaborated with some of the best agencies (Anomaly, Google Creative Lab, more) and brands (Google, The New York Times, Visa, HP, Mastercard, AMEX, PBS, Nike, Converse, and many more) in the world; creating campaigns, promos, and multimedia pieces with them.

Alina’s entry into filmmaking began with her video art, creating pieces that explore intimacy, psychology and the way unconscious behaviours control our lives. As a director, she has created short documentaries for Art 21, MGM International, and Davidoff Cigars, written and directed several short narratives, video art pieces, and music videos. Her most recent pieces are a short film called “Aurora” (2023) and an art video piece called “Mala Mujer” (2022).

Her video artwork and short films have been presented in galleries, art fairs, and museums in New York City, Miami, and Santo Domingo as well as in festivals in like: The NY Latino Film Festival, Marfa Film Festival, Philadelphia Latino Festival, Evolution Mallorca Festival, and Austin Music Video Festival.
