Boundary Crossing

by Art21January 31, 2018 2:01:18 total runtime

How can boundaries be perceived as opportunities rather than limitations? In testing ideas of spatial borders, artists challenge constructs of space by experimenting with the concept as both subject and material. The divisions that define and separate environments present artists and viewers with ways to investigate the spaces around them.

The artists in this playlist consider notions of where art exists—questioning the distinctions between public and private spaces, traversing sprawling expanses to evoke feelings of exploration and liberation, and expanding their practice across disparate environments.
