We are currently accepting applications for the 2018–2019 program year. K–12 teachers from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico are invited to apply.

Applications for the 2018–2019 program year can only be completed online and must be submitted no later than Monday, March 19, 2018.

Please be prepared to complete the online application in one sitting. There is no way to save your work and continue it at a later time. The application also includes the creation of a short video, which you will need to upload at the same time you submit your written portion.

We recommend that applicants download the worksheet containing the full application (available in PDF and Google Doc formats) to prepare responses in advance of the online application process.

2018–2019 Program Information

Summer Institute Dates
Friday, July 6–Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Housing Information
NYU housing is available at a subsidized rate this year of $65/night for a shared room and $96 for a single room. Payment for housing will be collected in advance of the Institute. Applicants should indicate on their application whether they would like to stay in NYU Summer Housing and whether they prefer a single or double room.

We strongly encourage participants to stay in residential housing provided by NYU during the Summer Institute. Many of our sessions are held in or around the NYU Summer Housing dorms and participants often tell us that the informal conversations and gatherings that happen in the dorms are central to the sense of community that develops during this week.

NYU Summer Housing does not provide meals. Art21 estimates $40–65 per day for meals.
