Maryam Hoseini’s in between spaces
Exploring the spaces in between painting and drawing, figuration and abstraction, Maryam Hoseini’s current work depicts fragmented—often female—bodies floating in abstract, flattened architectural spaces.
“These fractured spaces and fragmented bodies, that is somehow the reflection of my own personal experiences and life,” says the artist. “And so much of the work is about representation of self.”
