Join Art21 and Hauser & Wirth for a special screening of the latest film from the Art21 Extended Play digital series, Jack Whitten: An Artist’s Life. Guests will also be invited to view the artist’s final painting, on view as part of a special presentation by Hauser & Wirth.
The film will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with Art21 executive director and chief curator Tina Kukielski, Baltimore Museum of Art senior programming and research curator Katy Siegel, and Metropolitan Museum of Art Cynthia Hazen Polsky and Leon Polsky curator of contemporary art Kelly Baum. Siegel and Baum are currently co-curating the upcoming exhibition Odyssey: Jack Whitten Sculpture, 1963-2017.
