Join Art21 on Tuesday, May 1 for our first-ever gala. Celebrating Art21’s history of excellence in exploring the voices and creative practices of contemporary artists, the gala will honor the legacy created by Art21 founder Susan Sollins as well as artist Julie Mehretu, whom Art21 has filmed at work over the past decade.
Artist Pedro Reyes will design a birthday cake celebrating Art21’s twenty-one years on television, and the collective assume vivid astro focus will provide custom artwork to be featured in event decor, including a special birthday hat given as a favor to guests. Art21 artists will also contribute unique artworks and experiences—displayed as birthday gifts—for a silent auction.
