Documenting the practice of an artist who is equally curious and critical about our rapidly advancing technological landscape, this series of four films explores how she experiments with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR), reaffirms the importance of embodied making, and contemplates what it means to be human in our new, hybrid world. “A lot of my work is about autonomy,” says Rossin. “I think that helps us understand where we are.” Whether using technology to collaborate with her 14-year-old self, building autonomous sculptures powered with bioenergy, or crafting interactive narratives in virtual reality, Rossin’s works offer new and insightful perspectives on what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world.
