VoguingJacolby Satterwhite
(Film 2 of 3) Whether voguing through the streets of NYC or riding a pegasus in cyberspace, artist Jacolby Satterwhite searches for ways to make dreams, visions, and hopes a reality. Through a practice that encompasses performance, video, sculpture, installation, and more, Satterwhite transitions seamlessly between physical and digital realms, creating spaces for memorialization, freedom, and exploration that bridge the two worlds. The artist says, “I’m living in the landscape of cyberspace and trying to make it tactile and poetic, and to have fun with it, like a kid.” Across three documentary shorts, Satterwhite explores the infinite possibilities found in the fluid movement between screens and streets.
