Sebastián Lasaosa Rogers Cinematographer
Sebastián is a Spanish-American filmmaker and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY whose work has been featured at SXSW, DOC NYC, New Orleans Film Fest, SFDoc Fest, the Margaret Mead Film Festival, Pioneer Works, BRIC, and published by The NYTimes, PBS, and Art21. His short documentary film Esquilas en la montaña / Bells in the Mountains (2017) portrays the annual pilgrimage (transhumance) of two hundred cows up the Spanish Pyrenees mountains before summer. Sebastián is currently in post-production on his first feature documentary about an indigenous Chuj-Maya family from Guatemala who cross Mexico to visit and advocate for the release of their niece after she was wrongfully imprisoned for over seven years.
