Michelle is a freelance filmmaker and editor with a strong background in visual journalism. They’re based in Brooklyn and primarily work as a freelance assistant editor for Art21 while pursuing other editing and DP gigs on the side. Before that, Michelle worked as a staff photo and video journalist for USA Today. They are a graduate of Western Kentucky University’s photojournalism program and of the Danish School of Media and Journalism’s international photo program and a proud member of the Video Consortium, A-Doc, and BIPOC Editors.
