This just-released film from the New York Close Up digital series follows artist Jamian Juliano-Villani as she scours Manhattan in search of inspiration for the unpredictable imagery that fills her paintings.
First she prowls the Strand Bookstore, and later she tours Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Times Square—a place that mirrors the slippery balance between good and bad taste in her own work.
