Winnie Cheung Editor

Winnie Cheung is an artist and storyteller working at the intersection of commercial, genre, fantasy, and non-fiction cinema. Her award-winning animated short Albatross Soup premiered at Sundance Hong Kong and toured internationally, and won Vimeo’s Animation of the Year Award. Her microbudget debut feature Residency was recognized by Variety as part of “a North American new wave of indie micro-budget genre features.” Her latest short, Last Call premiered at SXSW and will be featured in her solo exhibition at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art in Sydney, Australia.
Also an accomplished editor and producer, she co-produced, edited, and sound designed Kier-La Janisse’s Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched (SXSW Audience Award, 2021), the first feature documentary on folk horror. She is currently rostered at Lost Planet, a boutique post-production company led by landmark editor Hank Corwin.
