Campaign Progress
Art21 has been investing in exploration, research, and development to determine key opportunities and programming needs that will reach new target audiences.
Operational and Programmatic Progress include:
- Increased marketing and promotion
- Enlisting professional support: legal, recruiting, data, and accessibility analysts, web developers, and distribution
- New staff hires in communications, production, and administration
- Piloting regional education and public programs in cities across the country
- Activation of advisory committees to help shape new and developing programs and organizational activities
- Launching Art21 Lifelong Learners program serving audiences 65+
- Updating accessibility standards, including offering descriptive audio on all episodes of Season 11 of Art in the Twenty-First Century
- Held Art21’s first-ever Art21 at the Movies—a 2-day documentary film event serving 600 individuals, featuring films about contemporary artists and art on the big screen
- Began steps toward realizing Art21’s long-term goal of formalizing an accessible archive
