In a new film from our New York Close Up digital series, artists Raúl de Nieves and Colin Self collaborate on the creation of their chamber opera, The Fool, staged at The Kitchen last year.
A study in friendship and the power of performance, the film follows the artists as they rehearse and ultimately perform their first opera, accompanied by a chorus and string ensemble.
The film is the second of five premieres from our 21st anniversary winter film series.
