Art21 Partners with Printed Matter’s
NY Art Book Fair 2024

New York, New York — Art21 announces its collaboration with Printed Matter for the highly anticipated launch of the 2024 NY Art Book Fair. Taking place from April 25th to 28th at 548 W 22nd Street, this premier event stands as the foremost international platform for artists’ book publishers. Drawing tens of thousands of visitors annually, Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair showcases the diverse creations of hundreds of artists and publishers, igniting creativity and sparking connections within the artistic community.

Program highlights of the fair include a dynamic array of interactive workshops, engaging artist talks, valuable networking opportunities, and much more. As part of its partnership with Printed Matter, Art21 is proud to unveil a special series of READ interviews featuring esteemed artists contributing to the NY Art Book Fair.

“Art21 is excited to once again participate in the 2024 NY Art Book Fair,” says Tina Kukielski, Susan Sollins Executive Director and Chief Curator. “As the world’s premier fair for publications focusing on the arts, we’re proud to amplify the work of the NY Art Book Fair and the artists it supports through Art21’s READ interview series.”

This exclusive collection of text interviews will delve into artists’ creative processes and the inspirations behind their work, offering insights from luminaries such as Johanna Maierski (founder of Colorama); Atomic Terrain, which includes Lovely Umayam, Gabriella Hirst, Warren Harper, and Tammy Nguyen (artist and founder of Passenger Pigeon Press); and Tamar Ettun (presenting a site-specific installation with Dreamsong Gallery and a new book with Dog Eye Press). The READ interview series will also showcase original photography capturing each featured artist in their studio. Join Art21 to celebrate the power of artistic expression and exploration at the intersection of literature and contemporary art.
