Melissa Saenz Gordon Associate Digital Content Manager

Melissa Saenz Gordon joined Art21 in October of 2018 as Associate Digital Content Manager. Native to San Francisco, California,  where she worked at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art  in the Marketing and Interpretive Media departments. She provided creative direction for the video series Artists <3, Artists Cribs and Art Is which founded the relaunch of museum’s YouTube channel in 2016. In addition, she helped establish the online persona for Dolby Gallery, an art space for sound and new media at Dolby Laboratories.

Prior to joining Art21, Melissa managed the digital strategy for New Latin Wave, a NYC-based platform for Latinx artists. For their annual festival in September 2018, she helped produce Radical Women Remix, a video program of multi-disciplinary artists inspired by the exhibition Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985.

Melissa earned a B.A. from San Francisco State University in geography and urban studies. A passionate film photographer, her work has been featured in Remezcla, Open Space and Whetstone Magazine.
